Reading Nirnay Daily is free. We ask readers to sign in once so that we know who uses the website and can improve it. We keep only your name and email address for this, we never sell or share them, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

1. Who we are

Nirnay Daily (निर्णय) is an independent Indian legal information website. For anything about your data, write to nirnaydaily@gmail.com.

2. What we collect when you sign in

We do not collect passwords, phone numbers, contacts or payment details. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication, and the list of signed-in readers is stored in our Firebase account on Google's servers, which may be located outside India.

3. Visit statistics

The website also uses Google Analytics to count visits, the sections read, and the words typed into the Nirnay Mitra and section search boxes, and clicks on downloads and links, so that we can see what readers look for. Analytics does not receive your name or email address from us.

4. Why we use it

We do not send marketing emails, and we do not post anything on your behalf.

5. Your consent and your rights

We use your details only with your consent, which you give by ticking the box before signing in. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may:

6. How long we keep it

We keep your details while your account is in use. If you ask us to delete them, or if you have not signed in for two years, we delete your account.

7. Children

Nirnay Daily is meant for adults (law students, lawyers and the public). If you are under 18, please use the website with a parent's or guardian's permission.

8. Changes

If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top of this page.
